100 YEARS OF HISTORY IN THE HEART OF ROME
Our story begins in the 1930s, with Elettra, a seamstress chosen by Queen Margherita, who decides to put her experience and skills to good use by opening a shop for the sale of patterns where, in addition to buying, the customers use of his precious advice and secrets for the creation of impeccable garments. The growing consensus of the public pushes Elettra to expand the business, involving her three sisters, each of which opens a store.
THE BIRTH OF THE BRAND
In 1942 the family had four shops in the city. The GLEN brand was born from the acronym of the names of the four sisters (Gemma, Leonida, Elettra and Nina). It will be a sales and image success, which will bring continuous increases in the workforce. In 1955 he hired a fifteen-year-old young apprentice, Silvana, who soon, with tenacity and ability, would become the première.
Here Silvana also finds love in Giulio, Elettra's eldest son, whom she marries in 1963, taking over the family business. In 1970, following the trends, she opens the first tailoring workshop, where the history of the atelier will begin , which Silvana directs with passion and pride until 1985, when her daughter Paola joins the company with whom she will collaborate until 1996.
THE THIRD GENERATION: PAOLA STRAMUCCI
Since then Paola has been the soul and driving force of this reality, which was born from a dream and comes true every day through the commitment of all the staff who work with ever-renewed passion towards a single goal: Grace, Line, Elegance and Novelty.
